In the always good FayerWayer I just came across this kickass video from a conference by the guys from MythBusters to basically explain the differences between a CPU and a GPU but in a very understandable and interesting way.

Or if you prefer just watch it for its beauty (and the ridiculously inmense budget these guys have).

For those of you who don’t know, Snoop Dogg is a rapper. A gangsta, bitch-slapping-cop-killing rapper.
 
But Snoop, on top of this, is an artist with an amazing trayectory that has already surpassed hip hop, and he’s had the vision to collaborate with artists of all kinds.
 
Now, for a change, he recently released a hottt video. There are many like this one, I know, but this must be one of few I’ve seen that is so well executed.
 
Check the small details, like when the image repeats itself as the echo fades. Classic!.
 
And while we’re at it. The song is pretty damn cool too.
 
He’ll be coming to Chile soon, so those of you who are going, let me know how it was.

¿Quién no ha usado los extrañísimos sonidos de la serie antigua de Batman para hacer reír a alguien?. Esas trompetas agudas que junto con el texto correspondiente hacían al hombre-murciélago parecer como si aplicara los golpes más fuertes y certeros del barrio.
 
Desde los Crunch!, Clank!, Pow! hasta los más rebuscados Thwacke!, Kayo! y Ker-Sploosh!. Todos estos y muchísimos otros se encuentran en este sitio que recopila todas las onomatopeyas utilizadas en la serie y las indexa a su vez por capítulo y cantidad de veces que aparecen.
 
Un recurso visual realmente curioso. Ahora que los veo, tipográficamente son bastante llamativos.
 
 

 
 
Who hasn’t used those extremely bizarre sounds from the old Batman show to make somebody laugh?. Those loud trumpets that, along with the text, made the bat-man seem to be the meanest and toughest mutha fu*** around.
 
From the Crunch!, Clank!, Pow! to the weirder Thwacke!, Kayo! y Ker-Sploosh!. All of these and many others are found at this website that collects all of the Onomatopoeias used in the series and also indexes them by episode and amount of times they were used.
 
A really curious visual resource. Now that I see them all together, typographically they are quite appealing.

Ya les había mostrado (antes de que se me borraran los posts) La Fábrica de la Felicidad: El Documental, en donde se entrevista de genial manera a los pequeños personajes que viven en el mundo de fantasía que hay dentro de una máquina de Coca-Cola.
 
Bueno, ahora mi amigo Tark, desde su renovada Interferencia, me cuenta que apareció La Fábrica de la Felicidad: La Mini-película; que trata sobre qué pasa cuando tratas de sacar una bebida y por esos azares de la vida, la máquina no responde.
 
Buenísimo video con animaciones, para variar, de lujo.

I had already showed you (before all of my posts got erased) The Happyness Factory: A Documentary, on which the little characters living inside the fantasy world inside a Coke machine are interviewed.
 
Well, now my friend Tark, from his renovated Interferencia, tells me that a new video has been launched The Happyness Factory: The Mini-movie; which reveals what happens when you try to take out a coke from the machine and, by one of those flukes of life, it doesn’t respond.
 
Really cool video with some fantastic animations for a change.

La (hasta que cambiaron sus voces) mejor serie de televisión que ha existido según mi humilde opinión; no para con sus excelentes estrategias publicitarias para promocionar al lanzamiento de su película.
 
Primero fue, tal y como había posteado aquí, la aparición de Kwik-E-Marts alrededor de todo Estados Unidos, después el Kwik-E-Marts alrededor de todo Estados Unidos, después el supuesto reemplazo de la “llama de la Libertad” por una rosquilla gigante, y ahora esto: Publicidades en la famosa revista Harper’s Bazaar.
 
La gracia de estas publicidades, es que en ellas aparecen los “amarillos de siempre” paseando por París junto a reconocidas figuras de la moda mundial como son Donatella Versace, Jean Paul Gaultier y Louis Vuitton por nombrar algunos. Todos con alguna prenda de su autoría siendo utilizada por los mismos Simpsons.
 
Asumo que la gracia de todo esto está en que el lanzamiento en Europa de la película ya se acerca, así que como estrategia comunicacional creo que funciona a la perfección.
