► Estudiante electrocutado por policía norteamericana

Today my girlfriend told something about some guy that in some american senator’s forum asked a few-too-many questions and got himself arrested. I laughed about it for a while and that was pretty much it.

However, today when I came home and checked out my feeds, I came across the story in detail at the always up to date TrendHunter and I got a much clearer picture about the story.

The thing is that senator John Kerry, former american presidential candidate who lost the elections to George Bush, had an open forum at the University of Florida where students got on the microphone and questioned the senator in public.

Among others, UF campus student Andrew Meyer stepped to the mic and decided to slightly huddle the microphone with some uncomfortable questions for the former presidentiable.

For this, the microphone’s audio was cut off and 2 policemen inmediately proceeded to reduce the young student.

As if this wasn’t enough, not only did the cops handcuff a young man whose only crime was to ask some questions, but they didn’t think of a better idea than to taze him with an ellectric shock gun to “tranquilize him”, being that they already had him on the ground, face down and in handcuffs.

An absolutelly brutal fact that reveals the level of stupidity some people can reach.

Luckily, there’s always those good samaritans wandering around with a video camera and have access to the internet to upload their material on YouTube… and for what it’s worth, the 2 policemen who grabbed him in the first place were discharged… under paid leave.
