I had no idea who Randy Pausch was, I didn’t know what he did neither that a terminal cancer took him away yesterday.
I feel ashamed not to know about this character earlier; but the guys at FayerWayer managed to enlighten a few of us ignorants.
I could celebrate the fact that Pausch was a pioneer in the field of virtual reality or the fact that Time magazine included him in the list of the 100 most influential people in the world. However, all of that isn’t what inspires me the most. What inspieres me most is his sense of being so down to Earth.
The video I’m showing you above apparently caused quite a fuzz around the internet when it was recorded in Spetember 2007. Under the name of “The Last Lecture” and being 76 minutes long, this video shows us a man whose overwhelming achievements become almost anecdotical in this life lesson. He doesn’t explain how to be succesful, he teaches simply to enjoy the ride of life and inspire others to enjoy it as well.
An amazing simpleness that gives you a very warm and close feeling only from hearing Pausch. Besides the fact that he is a guy who clearly enjoys life at a 100% even knowing it’s running out and even takes the time to teach us about the importance of family in a few lovely gestures along the talk.
I’m really embarassed not knowing about his existence, and I know I’m one of the millions of postume homages that’ll pop up all over; but I couldn’t leave a side a person who managed to inspire me and teach me so many things in just an hour of hearing him.
Please take a minute to enjoy the video.

For only $8000 USDyou can take home the still unreleased Epilong Zing Laser, a home laser engraving device that you can plug in to your computer via USB port and laser up practically anything you want.
Not a bad purchase at all.

Good friend Veggie just showed me this kickass website named This Is Sand. An online application that uses your screen’s pixels as sand grains that you can spread and change colors as you wish.
Plus, you can upload your creations to the online gallery.
Sweet.

I’m a fan of Wordpress.
I started using it a couple years ago and from then on I’ve applied it to almost every website I’ve developed. Its capacities are just huge, plus it has an enormous community willing to help you out whenever you get stuck.
Today via Design:Float I came across this nifty help guide that the guys from DBS Interactive just released for free.
A list eith several functions you’ll use oftenly when it comes to create or edit your templates on Wordpress.
I’m sure it’ll come in handy to more than one out there.

It’s been a while ago since I told you about 60 Unite for Children, a project by I told you about 60 Unite for Children, a project by UNICEF where 60 designers and artists from around the world showcase graphics and thoughts related to children.
After a lot a lot of thinking, and when I realized that now shipping costs are free, I decided to buy it.
And yesterday, after a week, the book got to my hands
A kickass purchase. The 180 pages book contains a huge amount of top notch works plus some beautiful thoughts.
