Why the low posting frequency

I’ve been getting a few comments regarding my low posting frequency around the blog.

The explanation is quite simple actually. I’m getting busy these days and I’m trying to apply a sharper filter to the things I blog about.

Theres a whole lot of news I’d like to share with the people checking my website; but I know that much of those news are going to appear all over the web in sites that are very similar to mine. It’s all good with that, but my idea is to post things that you don’t find in so many other places, you know, to have that sort of uniqueness of content.

So I rather take my time on choosing what to post, then just posting a lot of things that you’ve probably been seeing all over the web.

That’s basically it. It doesn’t mean I’ll be posting like once a month, but I just want to take my time to choose the things that’ll really make you wanna read my website and not just pass by.

Even so, I know I’ve got this blog kind of abbandoned. It happens to be that this week I’m really busy with college and some projects. I hope to catch up in these next days so stay tuned.

cnts.cl now diegoquintana.com

Finally after a few weeks of hard work, I’ve changed my not-so-catchy cnts.cl to the more logical diegoquintana.com.

This implies several changes.

First: The website now opens directly with my portfolio, now the blog is a sub-section of the entire website. This is because I’m trying to further promote what I do over what I write about.

Second: You’ll notice that the site is now in english by default. You’ll have to choose the spanish option to view in that language. This is because, although I’m aware that most my visitors are spanish-speaking, I think it’s necessary to sart developing a more global market around my website and its content.

There’s been a mistake on the text above. I thought the website was actually in english by default (well, it actually is); but if you’re using a browser in spanish, my website, being as magical as it is ;), will detect your browser’s configuration and it’ll change the default language automatically to spanish. Still if you want to change this, there’s always the language menu up above.

Third: The obvious. The visuals. I’ve fully changed the website’s visual style to something a bit more fresh and modern.

That’s the main thing. However if you start messing around you’ll find a few details I’ve been putting some effort on such as the contact form and other few catchy ideas.

Even so, this is a Beta release of my website. There are still a few flaws regarding translation and some pagination issues. Therefore, if you stumble upon any kind of error or misplaced links, I’d be more than thankful to have you contact me through the form above. Now it’s much easier to do so, or if you prefer you can email me at hello@diegoquintana.com.

I’d appreciate any kind of critiques, comments or tips. Everything is welcome.

Thanks you very much and enjoy DiegoQuintana.com.

Sony Foam City

Even the simplest things can be beautiful. Randomness is beautiful.

Sony does it again.

Women, take care of your beaver

This awesome and highly controversial campaign by femenine care giant Kotex aims directly, without hints or subliminal messages to one thing only: If women have only one vagina, why not take care of it?.

Just amazing. It’s these type of campaigns that make me more and more aware of the fact that our small, hard-working countries are still centuries behind when it comes to maturity and a slightly more elevated criteria regarding topics such as the human body and sexuality.

Flashpedia, everything Flash

My good friend Panxo (A.K.A. TheMechonConnection) just sent me this website that holds a whole lot of nifty minigames, videos and apps made in Flash.

Quite the spot to spend some of your lazy hours.

On another matter, a lot of you’ve been asking why I’m kinda missing from my website. The thing is I’m setting up a few projects and one of them involves several changes around here.

In the meantime I’ll try to catch up on the posting frequency.

Greetings to all of you still passing by.
